2015

« Thank you so much for all the attention before and during the trip that you had organized for the 3 of us. An amazing trip like the one you had prepared for us wouldn’t be possible if you haven’t prepared and organized it so well before hand. We had the chance to know you as well... We came back from Ecuador marveled; its landscapes, its people, its food and your hospitality. Thank you very much for this wonderful month in Ecuador. We had a great time! »

« Galapagos: everyone we spoke to loved their time on the boat, the food, the guide, crew and locations were all first class.
Amazon Rain Forest: happy that you organized it for us. It was brilliant and the staff fantastic, best showers so far in Ecuador... Our guide, R., was so great and the whole experience excellent. We had a wonderful time. Absolutely great! Thanks again.

« What a wonderful time we had in Ecuador and you certainly contributed to making the experience most memorable.
The two days we spent with you touring around Quito were wonderful. The first day started off with a surprise taste tour of Ecuadorian food to get through all those wonderful taste sensations. You guided us through the two markets in Otavalo: the food market and the craft market. You then further surprised us and to our delight, we visited a beautiful volcanic crater lake in the Cotacachi - Cayapas Reserve. What a wondrous spot! The final touch of your personal touches that made our days with you special, was to take us to an authentic Spanish Hacienda. Your encyclopedic knowledge on birds, flowers, geography, history and local lore is astounding. It was great to have you give life and meaning to the places we visited.
The next day was no exception. Another treat? We headed to the beautiful Cotopaxi where we drove to the Refuge parking area (4500 m), and then began the climb to the Refuge. And with your cheery encouragement we DID make it. After the climb, we saw a fox at the refuge (a rare treat) and went back to the car. You took us for a picnic lunch at Limpiopungo Lake (beautiful spot) and then we were really happy to visit a very unknown Inca Ruin Fortress site (Wamani). It was awesome to see Wamani and the Pucara Salitre (ellipses ruins) in its natural state, with no one else around except for the wild horses and cattle. It gives you the feeling that you alone discovered the ruins and you can FEEL the history that surrounds them. Very special. Then back to civilization and ending a wonderful day with a visit to a lovely Hacienda.
Thank you for your incredible knowledge of the area and for making our tours very special and unique. »

« Our week with Brigitte was great. Because of Brigitte's knowledge, experience, reliability and communication skills, our visit to Ecuador was stress free and memorable. We were able to see and do things that would have been impossible without her.
We had contacted her before our Ecuador trip and found her suggestions well suited to our interests and her cost quotes to be clear and good value. We experienced Ecuador in a variety of ways - an overnight stay with an indigenous family (amazing), walks through the rain forests with Brigitte's guidance in observing plants and birds, visits to authentic animal and food markets and markets that offered beautiful artisanal goods, a luxurious day at the hot springs, and frequent opportunities to taste some of the excellent foods of Ecuador from ?trucha a la plancha? to ?ceviche? of palm hearts to homemade ice-cream in Salcedo.
Brigitte was fun to be with and always put our interests first throughout our entire week with her. The accommodations she arranged in Quito, Santa Barbara and Mindo were perfect.
Thanks Brigitte! We had a great time and lots of good memories. »

« We really enjoyed our time with you and we were impressed with all that you showed us. Ecuador is a beautiful country and we were pleased to see how clean it is.
Once again, it was great to spend time with you and to benefit from your extensive knowledge of Ecuador. »

« We enjoyed our tour with you and especially remember stopping by the town where we had ceviche with palm hearts made fresh for us.
All the best from the sunny Bahamas...

« As a single English woman traveling alone in South America I could not have had a better guide than Brigitte. Day trips and weekend trips were tailor made for me. Before we went we met to discuss what I wanted to do and she made suggestions for things I would never have thought of. She is extremely knowledgeable about all things Ecuadorian, the geography, the culture, the politics, the history, the people and the language. She knew all the best things to see, the best places to stay, where to stop for lunch, the proximity of lavatories, the best shops and markets and the location of beautiful haciendas with humming birds and hammocks in the garden. She also knew the people who ran these things so we always had a good welcome. Brigitte organized everything, including horse riding in the Andes, with well kept horses and real saddles ...she not only rode with me, as I was quite nervous, she also took the photographs! She made it all seem entirely effortless. I was so confident in this woman I just relaxed and enjoyed the experience of being really well looked after. She picked me up (on time) and dropped me off at my door and I visited more places, did more things and saw far more than I could possibly have done alone in the time available. Although Brigitte is a fit and very energetic woman we went for hikes in mountains and cloud forests at my pace (she even lent me walking poles). I never felt hurried and when I ran out of steam we stopped by waterfalls and ate delicious food she had packed and carried. We travelled in a comfortable 4X4 and she was by far the best driver on the road. Brigitte speaks fluent English so I had a chance to practice my Spanish only when I wanted to! She is extremely good company, intelligent and funny with a lovely personality. She was a real pleasure to be with. »

« Brigitte or Bibi if you like, is the guide you dream of: she knows it all in this great country, she adapts gently to your personal wishes of looking around and travelling, she has all the good addresses, you also can talk with her about everything and, since physically she is in the best form, she might inspire you to do more than you would maybe do without her. »
